Long post alert... but take time to read !!
WHERE ARE WE LEADING TO ?
I WHOLE HEARTEDLY THANK GOD EVERY DAY FOR TAKING AWAY MY MOTHER FROM ME WHEN I WAS 3!!
Sounds Wierd... Know why ??
SItuation 1:( Grandmother phase )
When my grandmother's mother passed away when she was a toddler and her paternal grandparents took care of her, The immidiates in maternal side took care of her share of assets and handed over at her marriage.( dont deny the discrimination she has to undergo while growing up
(Present stage )
when my mother passed away when i was a toddler , my paternal grandparents took care of us ( doesnt want to spoil their son's future by overburdening our responsibility to him and his newly wedded wife ), and safeguarded us in every way possible( inspite of their love to live with their only son ).
(Unfortunately pillar of our maternal house , my grandmother also passed away with in an year )
My maternal uncle and Aunt showered their love on us whenever possible inspite of odds.
My dad erased my biological mothers name from my records and now even if i want to add ... no way i can do it ( Birth Certificate which is mandatory for many things is a waste paper)
Situation 2:
Grandmother phase :
Her Grandfather preferred to get her married to a known , kind person, THAN to an UNKNOWN WELL QUALIFIED person.( i dont think my grandmother nor her maternal relatives regret this decision) I never knew this until my grand dad reminscised this sitaution when he under went DEMENTIA recently .
NOW :
We look for someone who is well educated , well earned of course , nuclear family and preferable not from a close circle ( Reasons might be many ) and keep comparing / complaining the smallest of the smallest things in life most of the time rgeretting our decisions .....concluding ITS ONE'S DESTINY !
Situation 3:
FORE FATHERS ( Great Grandparents and before ... to some extent Grand parents in Villages)
WORK LIFE BALANCE, ORGANISED WORK ,SIMPLE yet LOVING and CARING LIFE ( certain military rules on life style definetely)
Grandparents stage :
Work LIfe Balance , Indiscrimination among genders , caste , religion , financial indiscrimination.
Parents :
Inferiority - superiority complex, making things easy ,prioritise external factors ... beauty , wealth..etc. competiotion,Always want them and kids to be the best ....LETTING GO OFF the principle "Live and Let Live "
OURS:
Busy in proving oneself the best , Raising our kids to become the best in the present AI world gaining knowledge in all the subjects to become a super person ( academics, sports , extra curriclar ).... NO time for Household chores , Love , care and affection(( going to movie, eating out , roming around the world to gain as much knowledge as possible ) than going to parents / grandparents /relatives ( mainly because of the judgemental talks and spreading negativity they spread around )
{WE HAD FUN TIMES WITH OUR COUSINS(my grandmother's maternal side) WHEN YOUNG>>> NOT SURE IF WE CAN RELIVE THE SAME MOMENTS EVEN IF WE COME ALONG NOW )
THANKS EVERYONE AROUND ME FOR MAKING ME FEEL AN ORPHAN with dear ones around ( happy to say so ) , SHOWING YOUR BACK WHENEVER IN REAL NEED /MORAL SUPPORT ( never looked for monetary help ...GOD was kind to me in this )!!
I HAVE BECOME MENTALLY STRONG, Able to discriminate between good and bad independently, help the genuinely needy, Analyse people by ACTIONS not WORDS , understand MARKETING GYMMICS ( fake vs Real ) and Most SET MY PRIORITIES RIGHT !!!!
( There would have been many like me , trying to fugure out what is life about ...... NEVER EVER FEEL ALONE ...... there are man like us ... THE BLACK SHEEPS OF THE LOT ..)
LET THAT BE ONES STENGHTH , a true blessing as YOU DONT NEED TO IMPRESS anyone in LIFE !!
ALL OF THIS WOULDNT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE WITH MY MOTHER AROUND !!!!!
(WE KNOW THE VALUE ONLY WHEN WE MOVE OUT OF COMFORT ZONE )
Are we really empowering our Kids to handle situations / taking decisions independently ??
P.S: If someone would help me out in getting my Mother's name back to my records , will be highly appreciated ( idont think there is such a thing in judicial system)

SOLANUM TRILOBATUM

 Solanum trilobatum (Thoothuvalai)

family: solanaceae

Solanum Trilobatum commonly called "Thoothuvalai" in Tamil,  is a very important herb in traditional home remedies and has amazing health benefits and medicinal uses.

Thoothuvalai is a creeper with plenty of thorns on stems and leaves. This plant adds elegance to your garden if grown as fence against your wall because of its beautiful purple flowers and attractive red fruits. It should be trimmed and trained peroidically to get dense foliage.

Medicinal value:

Almost everyone in Tamil Nadu would have heard or used it for treating cough and cold.

My Mother in law makes decoction out of  thoothuvalai. This decoction is very effective for chest congestion, cough, blocked nose and even for people who suffer from sinus infection.

Ingredients:

    Solanum  trilobatum leaves : 5
    Water     : 1 cup(200ml)
    Turmeric powder: 1 pinch
    Garlic:1 small pod
    Cumin seeds: 1/4 tsp
    peppercorns: 1/4 tsp

    Procedure:

    1.  Remove the thorns completely from the leaves and wash them.
    2.  Pound the pepper corns, garlic, cumin seeds in a mortar and pestle
    3.  Add the leaves and pound everything together well.
    4.  Boil water in a pan along with little bit organic turmeric powder.
    5.  Add the pounded mixture and boil till the leaves are cooked.
    6.  Strain and decotion is consumed without salt usually.(otherwise little salt can be added)

    NOTE:

    • The leaves can also be grinded and mixed with dosa /idli batter if the kids refuse to have it as decoction.

Allamanda cathartica, a woody , vigorous , evergreen climber grows to a height of 2-3 mts.with yellow, trumphet shaped flowers. The genus name Allamanda derives from Frédéric-Louis Allamand (1735–1803), a Swiss botanist of the late 18th century.
The City of Canóvanas in the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico, has named the Allamanda Carthica (Yellow Bell) its official flower/plant due to the vast amount of these thru the entire city and its rivers. It's also in their seal and downtown plaza.
